How to Generate Demand for Your Products or Services

April 14, 2020 by Advertising

How to Generate Demand for Your Products or Services

Successful marketing is all about three things: the right message, your target audience and good timing. When those essential elements meet, you are in a better position to generate demand for your products and services.

Since there are many digital marketing strategies you can tap into these days, it’s crucial to know your buyer persona first. Why? Because that way you can instantly determine which channel might be the most beneficial to promote your business along with the products and services you offer.

Targeting

What you already know about your potential prospects will determine how you can effectively target them. Knowing your prospects’ intent is a key to turning them into paying customers. One way to achieve this is through Pay-Per-Click (PPC).

Pay-Per-Click

PPC ads are a great way to determine someone’s intent, because they appear on Google search results whenever someone types the keyword or phrase you linked in your ad campaign. This type of digital marketing is excellent for getting your products and services in front of those who are already looking for it.

Another benefit of using PPC ads is the fact you can target ads by location once you specify your campaign to one region. However, the main benefit of targeting your potential audience with PPC is working with a fixed budget and an ability to cost-control your ad campaign according to the demand.

Geolocation & Geotargeting

This tactic is not only great for reaching potential customers in the location that you service, but it’s also effective because it’s based on user’s behavior data and preferences.

Content Marketing

The best way to attract people with the right intent is to create content that answers the questions they’re asking. You can do so by writing articles highlighting not only relevant information potential customers wants to know, but also your products and services.

The idea of investing time in content marketing is to educate your potential customers so they can process the information they need to later make a confident purchasing decision.

Here’s Your Must-Have Digital Strategy Checklist

March 9, 2020 by Advertising

Here’s Your Must-Have Digital Strategy Checklist

When discussing your digital marketing strategy, we can’t forget about all the other basic business elements that will contribute to your plan of action. Understanding your “why”, having a polished elevator pitch, defining your buyer persona and knowing your competitive advantage are crucial concepts to take into consideration before implementing your digital strategy.

According to The Digital Minds Book by WSI, building your plan of action requires answering important questions first. Here’s what should be on your digital strategy checklist:

Must-Have Digital Strategy Checklist

  • Building Your List and Your Database – This is where you’re going to nurture your prospect and customer base. Choose a platform that allows you to monitor every stage of your customer’s journey all the way to the sales pipeline.
  • Building Your Core Message – Think of this as a story your brand needs to tell the customers so they better understand your services or products. The more you focus on one main idea you’re trying to sell the better!
  • Defining Goals Within Your Strategy – Your marketing message should align with goals you’re trying to accomplish. Whether it’s generating more leads and sales, gaining authority and relevance in your industry or simply nurturing relationships and connections you already have, defining your goals will help you develop a more accurate brand messaging later on.
  • Defining the Channels – Each channel requires a different format so be selective when trying to find the right platform to carry your message. A question you should ask yourself here is: What are the digital channels that you will use to reach each buyer persona?
  • Measuring Results – This is the final strategy element that is best utilized when paired with marketing automation tools that provide analytics on a regular basis.

How to Identify Your Ideal Customer Using a Buyer Persona

February 11, 2020 by Advertising

Buyer Persona

While digital marketing is a multi-faceted job, one of the most important responsibilities for us digital marketers is to know who we’re talking to. Without defining that perfect buyer persona in the beginning, it’s rather challenging to turn leads into loyal customers later on…

That being said, you can’t execute a successful digital marketing campaign without knowing your target market. Want to know how to identify your ideal customer? Here’s what you need to know first.

What Is a Buyer Persona?

According to Alan Cooper (a pioneer software developer), a buyer persona is a semi-fictional representation of your ideal customer based on market research, customer demographics and behavior, real data about your existing customers, and your understanding of their motivations and challenges.

Whether you’re in the midst of developing a product or getting ready to launch a marketing campaign, we strongly recommend considering your buyer persona before you dive into this next step. There’s nothing worse you can do for your business than sending out the wrong messaging that doesn’t resonate with the people you want to do business with. However, if developed correctly, buyer personas will point you into the direction of customers who will bring you the most revenue on a long-term basis.

Identifying Your Ideal Customer Using a Buyer Persona

Great tools to start with are Google Analytics and Facebook Audience Insights. Those existing demographics can point you in the right way of who your buyer personas might be. Pay attention to the characteristics such as gender, age, visitor location and their interests.

Another way to identify your ideal customer is to review your existing customer base. Can you identify the contacts that decided to do business with you in the past? This is important to keep in mind because you don’t want customers who are just interested in seeing your content. You want those who are making purchasing decisions!

Part of the process of creating a strong buyer persona is to understand your unique selling points. How does your ideal customer engage in your sales process? What can you do to help them solve their problems? What about your content? Is there a call to action? Those are all questions you should be asking yourself before nailing down your ideal customer.

If your goal is to increase conversion this busy holiday shopping season, Advertising Is Simple has you covered. Here are 6 holiday marketing strategies that will maximize your advertising efforts.

6 Holiday Marketing Strategies to Maximize Your Advertising Efforts

  1.  Offer Special Deals – Reward your best customers for their loyalty throughout the year by giving exclusive discounts or personal gifts based on their purchase history. Also, don’t forget to take advantage of the highest selling days of the season. Offer special promotions for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
  2. Create Dedicated Holiday Landing Pages – Send customers to a special page from your social media and emails campaigns. Be sure to have several different designs and do some split testing to determine the highest converting pages.
  3. Implement a Social Media Campaign – Use holiday specific images, videos, hashtags and special offers to attract customers willing to spend. This is the time when they are starting to search for deals! Encouraging social media interaction will also get people in the holiday spirit of shopping.
  4. Focus on an Email Campaign – Use email more often to get customers excited about upcoming deals. Make sure to triple your marketing efforts on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Offer a contest, game or countdown to get more engagement. Don’t forget to add a popup subscribe form to your website and welcome new email subscribers with a discount code as well.
  5. Give Back to the Community – Show support to the community by sponsoring a food drive or collecting clothing and toys for needy families. Many of your customers are looking for ways to make the season more meaningful by sharing with those less fortunate.
  6. Create a Holiday Video – Get your team together for a fun and inviting holiday video. There’s nothing more personal than sending good wishes to your customers and showing your fun personality at the same time!
