What is Clubhouse? Answering Most Asked Questions About the App

February 23, 2021 by Advertising

What Is Clubhouse

Adjusting to the day-to-day social media trends can be a major game-changer for small to medium sized businesses. Especially when it comes to competing with their larger rivals. This is why we’re here to tell you about the new social media sensation… Have you heard of Clubhouse?

What Is Clubhouse?

This invite-only app is described as an “Drop-In Audio Chat” and it’s a mix of podcasting, talk radio and social media. Just like with podcasts, there are many topics to choose from and since you join the conversation in audio only, there’s less intimidation to join an ongoing conversation. The talk radio element allows audience engagement and it eliminates the fear of missing out as you can join specific talks at your own convenience.

Rooms on different topics are made up of moderators, speakers and listeners. Listeners can alert the host (the person who created the room) or other moderators (people who have been appointed moderators by the host) if they want to contribute to the discussion. Moderators can then accept or deny the request to speak. If accepted, the listener then becomes a speaker for the remainder of the session.

How do I get started with Clubhouse?

Currently, Clubhouse is available on IOS only and you will need an invite to get in. To start, you can download the app, register your username, and request an invite. Chances are some of your contacts are already on the app and they can send you one of their invites. Once you’re in, set up your profile with contact info, select topics you’re interested in and connect with people!

If you don’t want to miss any good conversations focused on your favorite topics in the future, make sure to turn on “Allow Notifications” in your settings.

Should I Be on It?

Although the app is fairly new, it is already valued at a billon dollars and considered a Unicorn startup next to Airbnb or Uber. While that is completely up to you, we believe joining Clubhouse and connecting with like-minded people is a new form of networking. This could be especially beneficial during a global pandemic.

Business is Getting Social — Are You?

Advertising is Simple has the tools to take your business social to the next level so that you can be where the conversations are taking place. If you have any questions or would like to find out more about how we can help you compete in the Social Marketplace, get in touch!

Let’s Talk about Cultivating Customer Loyalty

November 3, 2020 by Advertising

Cultivating-Customer-Loyalty

In today’s increasingly over-crowded online marketplace, the key to cultivating customer loyalty is to consistently follow an effective digital marketing plan – something most companies still fail to do.

Customer satisfaction should be front and center for every business. However, for a small business, it is crucial. Making customer service a top priority can make you more competitive against your larger counterpart. Let’s be honest, a company’s top asset is its customers. Happy and loyal customers not only support a business by continuing to do business with you, but also by referring you to friends and family.

As a business owner, thinking of ways to rise above the competition should revolve around giving customers something they can’t get elsewhere. Want to learn more? Below are some actionable steps you can take now to ensure you’re cultivating customer loyalty in your business.

Cultivating Customer Loyalty

Asking for Customer Feedback

If you do this on a consistent basis, it will give you the power to improve the customer’s experience moving forward. A simple online form or social media poll is a great strategy for learning where you need to tweak your sales protocols and practices.

The beauty of a small business is that you have a greater chance of making your customer service more personal and targeted. Customers can be very sensitive to whether you are genuine and sincere. Using their names and finding ways to compliment them will help to develop a trusting and loyal following.

Identify and Anticipate Customer Needs

Proactively listening to your customers and making an effort to get to know them as much as possible will help you fine-tune special deals geared towards their purchasing history.

Be sure to assure them that you are aware of and ready to fix any problems that they may encounter. An apology can go a long way when something goes wrong. Make it easy for them to complain and impress them with your willingness to listen and diffuse the situation.

Use Social Media as a Platform to Humanize Your Business

Keep your customer aware of any new products, special sales or events. Do your best to engage with them and be prompt in responding to any comments (negative or positive) that they post regarding your business.

Encourage Customers to Write Online Reviews

Whether it’s on social media or online directories, you can capture reviews from your customers by making an easy-to-follow instruction pamphlet. The search engines love ranking those businesses who have a larger social footprint. Video testimonials is another valuable asset small business can use to illustrate how satisfied their customers are with their service and/or product.

Above all, say THANK YOU! Saying thank you after every transaction is one of the easiest ways to build a loyal following. Showing your customers that you appreciate their business makes them feel empowered and more likely to return!

Everything You Need to Know About Pinterest Advertising

August 7, 2019 by Advertising

Pinterest Advertising

If you own a business, you probably already understand how an established online presence can benefit your brand. Social media is not only a free tool for marketers and business owners that can be utilized to bring more brand awareness, but it can also be a vital element of any advertising efforts.

Do you want to bring in more leads and get your products or services in front of the right eyes? Consider investing in Pinterest Advertising! Here’s how.

Everything You Need to Know About Pinterest Advertising

  1. Pinterest for Business – Before you do anything, make sure to switch your account to a business one so you can access specific features like analytics and the Ads Manager.
  2. Goal setting – What do you want people to do after they see your ad? Choosing your goal should be based on what’s most important to your business for this each campaign.
  3. Targeting – Take time narrowing down your ideal target. You should strive to reach the people on Pinterest who are most likely to show an active interest in your ads. Your targeting options can be determined by certain keywords, interests, demographics or placements. You can also use individual targets or combine multiple approaches.
  4. Budgeting – You can select a lifetime option if you want us to use your budget evenly in a chosen timeline. Pinterest will automatically adjust budgets based on how much there is left to deliver. If you select a daily approach, you will only use a specific amount you want to spend each day.
  5. Pin Success – You should promote Pins that are already doing well to reach even more people. Visit your Analytics board to see what’s performing well. Remember to ONLY promote content you own, and make sure every Pin links to a website.

There you go! Use these 5 easy steps and take your Pinterest Advertising strategy to another level! If you need help managing your business account, don’t hesitate to contact Advertising Is Simple.

8 Holiday Marketing Strategies for this Season

October 16, 2018 by Advertising

8 holiday marketing strategies

With Thanksgiving only about a month away, now is the time to get your holiday marketing strategies in place. Don’t know where to start? Think of ways to connect with your customers emotionally and tap into the spirit of giving back.

If your goal is to increase conversion this busy holiday shopping season, we got you covered. Here are 8 holiday marketing strategies that will maximize your advertising efforts.

8 holiday marketing strategies:

  1.  Offer Special Deals – Reward your best customers for their loyalty throughout the year by giving exclusive discounts or personal gift based on their purchase history.
  2. Create Holiday Landing Pages – Create holiday landing pages that you can send customers to from your social media and emails campaigns. Be sure to have several different designs and do some split testing to determine the highest converting pages.
  3. Start a Social Media Campaign – Use holiday specific images, hashtags and special offers to attract customers willing to spend. This is the time when they are starting to search for deals! Encouraging social media interaction will also get people in the holiday spirit of shopping.
  4. Focus on an Email Campaign – Use email more often to get customers excited about upcoming deals. Make sure to triple your marketing efforts on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Offer a contest, game or countdown to get more engagement. Don’t forget to add a popup subscribe form to your website and welcome new email subscribers with a discount code as well.
  5. Focus on High Sales Days – Take advantage of the highest selling days of the season. Offer special promotions for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
  6. Give Back to the Community – Show support to the community by sponsoring a food drive or collecting clothing and toys for needy families. Many of your customers are looking for ways to make the season more meaningful by sharing with those less fortunate.
  7. Send out Holiday Cards – Let your customers know how much you appreciate their business by sending out a holiday card with a personalized special offer just for them. For example, if Customer A repeatedly purchases a certain product or service, provide them with a coupon for that particular item. Continue to send out cards that may invite them to a special event, sale, discounts or free gift promotion.
  8. Create a Holiday Video – Get your team together for a fun and inviting holiday video. There’s nothing more personal than sending good wishes to your customers and showing your fun personality at the same time!
