What is Clubhouse? Answering Most Asked Questions About the App

February 23, 2021 by Advertising

What Is Clubhouse

Adjusting to the day-to-day social media trends can be a major game-changer for small to medium sized businesses. Especially when it comes to competing with their larger rivals. This is why we’re here to tell you about the new social media sensation… Have you heard of Clubhouse?

What Is Clubhouse?

This invite-only app is described as an “Drop-In Audio Chat” and it’s a mix of podcasting, talk radio and social media. Just like with podcasts, there are many topics to choose from and since you join the conversation in audio only, there’s less intimidation to join an ongoing conversation. The talk radio element allows audience engagement and it eliminates the fear of missing out as you can join specific talks at your own convenience.

Rooms on different topics are made up of moderators, speakers and listeners. Listeners can alert the host (the person who created the room) or other moderators (people who have been appointed moderators by the host) if they want to contribute to the discussion. Moderators can then accept or deny the request to speak. If accepted, the listener then becomes a speaker for the remainder of the session.

How do I get started with Clubhouse?

Currently, Clubhouse is available on IOS only and you will need an invite to get in. To start, you can download the app, register your username, and request an invite. Chances are some of your contacts are already on the app and they can send you one of their invites. Once you’re in, set up your profile with contact info, select topics you’re interested in and connect with people!

If you don’t want to miss any good conversations focused on your favorite topics in the future, make sure to turn on “Allow Notifications” in your settings.

Should I Be on It?

Although the app is fairly new, it is already valued at a billon dollars and considered a Unicorn startup next to Airbnb or Uber. While that is completely up to you, we believe joining Clubhouse and connecting with like-minded people is a new form of networking. This could be especially beneficial during a global pandemic.

Business is Getting Social — Are You?

Advertising is Simple has the tools to take your business social to the next level so that you can be where the conversations are taking place. If you have any questions or would like to find out more about how we can help you compete in the Social Marketplace, get in touch!

Let’s Talk about Cultivating Customer Loyalty

November 3, 2020 by Advertising

Cultivating-Customer-Loyalty

In today’s increasingly over-crowded online marketplace, the key to cultivating customer loyalty is to consistently follow an effective digital marketing plan – something most companies still fail to do.

Customer satisfaction should be front and center for every business. However, for a small business, it is crucial. Making customer service a top priority can make you more competitive against your larger counterpart. Let’s be honest, a company’s top asset is its customers. Happy and loyal customers not only support a business by continuing to do business with you, but also by referring you to friends and family.

As a business owner, thinking of ways to rise above the competition should revolve around giving customers something they can’t get elsewhere. Want to learn more? Below are some actionable steps you can take now to ensure you’re cultivating customer loyalty in your business.

Cultivating Customer Loyalty

Asking for Customer Feedback

If you do this on a consistent basis, it will give you the power to improve the customer’s experience moving forward. A simple online form or social media poll is a great strategy for learning where you need to tweak your sales protocols and practices.

The beauty of a small business is that you have a greater chance of making your customer service more personal and targeted. Customers can be very sensitive to whether you are genuine and sincere. Using their names and finding ways to compliment them will help to develop a trusting and loyal following.

Identify and Anticipate Customer Needs

Proactively listening to your customers and making an effort to get to know them as much as possible will help you fine-tune special deals geared towards their purchasing history.

Be sure to assure them that you are aware of and ready to fix any problems that they may encounter. An apology can go a long way when something goes wrong. Make it easy for them to complain and impress them with your willingness to listen and diffuse the situation.

Use Social Media as a Platform to Humanize Your Business

Keep your customer aware of any new products, special sales or events. Do your best to engage with them and be prompt in responding to any comments (negative or positive) that they post regarding your business.

Encourage Customers to Write Online Reviews

Whether it’s on social media or online directories, you can capture reviews from your customers by making an easy-to-follow instruction pamphlet. The search engines love ranking those businesses who have a larger social footprint. Video testimonials is another valuable asset small business can use to illustrate how satisfied their customers are with their service and/or product.

Above all, say THANK YOU! Saying thank you after every transaction is one of the easiest ways to build a loyal following. Showing your customers that you appreciate their business makes them feel empowered and more likely to return!

Managing databases and nurturing your leads are important components of running a successful business. If you want to save time and money, the best way to do it is to invest in a software that handles both CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and marketing automation.

Want to learn about all of the benefits of CRM and marketing automation? Keep reading!

Benefits of CRM

1. Improves Sales Performance – Collecting accurate data on your leads and customers will give your sales staff a better understanding of where each lead is in the sales process.

2. Improves Customer Satisfaction and Retention – Consumers tend to spend more money with a company of a positive customer experience. Make sure all of your customer data is stored in one place so all of your team members can access it to better serve your clients.

3. Increased Efficiency – Thanks to a CRM platform, you can automate many everyday tasks such as creating forms, tracking every domain and its renewal time, and generating reports.

4. Better Internal Communication – When all of your team members are on the same page while interacting with customer data in one system, employee satisfaction increases. It’s all about clear communication between your departments!

5. Stronger Data Security – Housing your data in one system (instead of your employee’s desktop) means greater security.

Benefits of Marketing Automation

1. Time Savings – Marketing automation manages many of the repetitive, daily tasks that take up time from your marketing team.

2. Better Data – The right marketing automation platform will help your business with collecting and using data to make good business decisions. Not only will you be able to better understand your stored data, but you could also predict some customer behavior in the future.

3. Enables Segmentation and Personalization – With improved knowledge of your prospective customers, you can create targeted messages and automatically segment your data based on the profile, interests, and demographics.

4. Creates Brand Consistency – It’s important to create consistent, creative and well-branded messages to support strong branding in every touch point of the customer journey.

5. Increases Revenue and Average Deal Size – Improvement to your customer data leads to more targeted and effective marketing. In result, you can expect an increase in average customer lifetime value due to delivering a positive and consistent communication.

Trust us, one of the best decisions you will ever make as a business owner is by implementing a CRM and Marketing Automation system early on. If you want to learn more about lead management, we’re here to help!

6 Teachable Networking Skills to Use at Your Next Business Event

August 7, 2018 by Advertising

Networking may not be your favorite thing to do, but it sure does prove great results when done right! Such opportunity to make new connections whether just on a personal or business level should be treated as privilege, not a chore.

If networking makes you feel uncomfortable, here are 6 attainable ways to make your next business event a success.

6 Teachable Networking Skills

  1. Don’t just hang out with the people you already know. Yes, making connections with strangers may be out of your comfort zone but nothing good will ever happen for your business if you stay in your own bubble. To ease into networking at the business event, find someone who’s standing alone and make them feel special by starting a conversation. Typically, high-traffic areas such the bar or food table are great for networking.
  2. You’re not there to do business. Networking is a social and business gathering but you’re not there to just sell your products or services. Make sure to establish a relationship first so you can hopefully gain long-term clients in the future.
  3. Focus on 2-3 quality interactions. Listen when you join a conversation, then show you were listening by asking follow up questions. Make it about them, because it shows you care about making a meaningful interaction.
  4. Give more than take. You’re not there to just collect the business cards, so make sure you get to know people and leave a good lasting impression about you and your business. Ask questions and how you can help the people you’re talking to rather than making it all about yourself.
  5. Make notes on business cards. If you’re having trouble remembering people, write down important facts or things they mentioned on the business card they gave you. It will help you remember next time you see each other or when having a phone follow up.
  6. Set up at least one quality follow up meeting. Do it within the first 48 hours of meeting before they completely forget about you.

Whether you follow our networking tips or not, make sure you don’t go to your next business event without a plan. Your goal should be to make meaningful interactions and earn an opportunity to meet again. Will the people you give your business cards to become your potential clients? You won’t know unless you try!

Is Your HTTP Website Losing Traffic? Here’s why.

July 17, 2018 by Advertising

http website

In the past years, security in the digital space has become a prominent concern among online creators and consumers. More recently, we’ve seen new GDPR compliance requirements as well as many Google Chrome updates issuing security warnings to those who manage an http website collecting some sort of customer data. If you’re one of the web owners who still haven’t upgraded to HTTPS, you may want to reconsider. Here’s why.

According to Search Engine Journal, Google Chrome will show a prominent “Not Secure” message in the browser bar starting in October 2018. After October 2018 Chrome and likely all other Chrome based browsers will display enhanced security warnings that may create higher bounce rates for your site and concomitantly lower sales and conversions.

Benefits of Purchasing a SSL Certificate

These days, there’s nothing more important to your brand than being authentic and making your customers feel well taken care of. That is why security of their private information should be your top priority when managing your online business.

When the SSL Certificate is implemented on your website, it establishes an online entity’s credentials for doing business on the Web. Such action promotes trust, protection, confidentiality and also, better ranking of your business in Google search. Win win!

Ready to upgrade your HTTP Website?

At Advertising Is Simple, we are offering implementation on every page and handling redirects for $249 until July 31, 2018 (regular price: $299). *SSL Certificate fee not included – must be purchased by the client separately.

Have more questions about the SSL Certificate and upgrading to HTTPS? Do not hesitate to ask! We are here to help you implement any necessary changes to your website.
